NextEra Energy Transmission Southwest, LLC (NEET Southwest) is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Transmission, LLC (NEET), a leading competitive transmission company in North America, is focused on developing transmission assets in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) region.  

On October 27,  2021, NEET Southwest was awarded the Wolf Creek-Blackberry transmission project by SPP. The project is approximately 94 miles of 345 kV transmission line that will run from the Wolf Creek substation in Coffey County, Kansas to the Blackberry substation in Jasper County, Missouri.

On April 26, 2022, NEET Southwest was awarded the Minco-Pleasant Valley-Draper project by the SPP to construct a new approximately 48 miles of 345 kV transmission facilities in Oklahoma, interconnecting the Minco substation in Grady County and the Pleasant Valley and Draper substations in Cleveland County.

In August 2023, NEET Southwest was awarded the Crossroads – Hobbs – Roadrunner project by the SPP to construct a new approximately 135 miles of 345 kV transmission line in Oklahoma. The project will interconnect the existing Crossroads, Hobbs and Roadrunner substations in Roosevelt and Lea counties.
